Sheikh-Ul-Alam College of Education is named after Sheikh-ul-Alam (Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani — Nund Rishi), the beloved patron saint-poet of Kashmir whose verses championed knowledge, humility, and service to humanity. That spirit continues to animate the college’s mission: to train thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate teachers for Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.
Established 2002 — Affiliated with the University of Kashmir
Founded in 2002, the college is affiliated with the University of Kashmir and offers:
- B.Ed — Bachelor of Education (two-year, four-semester teacher education programme)
- BBA — Bachelor of Business Administration
The campus is located on Near Chinar Road, Drugmulla, Kupwara, in the heart of North Kashmir, and spans 8 Kanals of land.

Despite its location in a geographically remote district, the college provides exceptional academic infrastructure:
